    Book Your Appointment

  • General Haircut involves a trimming of your hair based on your current hair style.

    Restyle involves a major change to your look. It takes more time than a general haircut. A restyle is needed if your hair has grown too long since your last haircut OR if you want to change the style of your hair OR if your hair is thick and needs extra attention.

    Fade is a haircut that tapers on the sides and back, blending short faded hair into the skin.

  • Family Man Delaine Owns The Groomsman Barbershop In Hawera South Taranaki NZ

    The Groomsman is locally own and operated by me, Aston Mihaere - most people know me as Delaine.

    Growing up we were very poor and didn't have money left for getting a haircut. So as a child I always had long hair, a huge afro style. When finally I had a haircut, I remember that it was so very ugly.

    Eventually my mom got some hair clippers and I started doing my own hair, which was not that great. But I ended up cutting the hair for my friends and cousins. So they all always had very nice haircuts. I really loved it!

    In 2002 I got into it for the first time as a profession. Then in 2018 I decided to open my own barbershop. Today I have a team of barbers working alongside me - Karlos, Taam, and Tayne.

    I always enjoy giving haircuts to my clients, young and old. Love seeing them on regular basis, getting to know them and taking care of their hair.
